MaryBeth

Mary Beth Fazio has always worked with her hands, her great grandmother and mother giving her the tools to explore different crafts from a young age. With their encouragement, she taught herself bead looming, sewing, and wire work. She enjoys working with a variety of materials including metal, stained glass, and fabrics. Rougher materials and stones closest to their natural state are among her favorite materials from which to create new pieces.

Mary Beth was introduced to silversmithing by James Frape, from him learning to create from materials at hand and to keep the process organic.

Leyla

Drawn equally to the vivacious allure of Swarovski crystals as she is to the earthy quality of natural leather, Leyla brings contrasting materials together in a stylish and evocative way. The influence of a childhood spent living in multiple cultures and regions of the world can be seen in her pieces. The brilliant Bohemian colors of Eastern Europe mingling effortlessly with the simple clean lines of classic Japanese aesthetic.  In her fifth year designing at Silver Pennies, Leyla loves collaborating with clients to create totally personalized pieces of one-of-a-kind jewelry.
